William "Bill" Joseph Anderlohr Jr.

With broken hearts and profound sadness, we share that Bill peacefully went to his heavenly home on May 19, 2026, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born on December 25, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to William “Andy” and Dorothy Anderlohr. Bill was preceded in death by his father, mother, and younger brother, Ronnie. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kristi; his sons, Joshua (fiancé Claire) and Troy (TJ); his sweet chocolate Labrador, Ellie; and bonus pup Cujo, fondly renamed Rojo. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Curtis) Crisp and Renee Anderlohr; sister-in-law Julie (Bruce) Charlton; brother-in-law Mike (Teresa) Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill graduated from Gregory-Portland High School in South Texas in 1968. He would always say, “He cut his finger and it bled orange, so he arrived in Austin as fast as he could!” In 1973, Bill graduated from UT Austin with a degree in Business and Finance. He was very proud that he was able to put himself through college while working for the Texas Highway Department. After graduating, Bill continued working for the Great State of Texas in what was then known as the Highway Department, serving in their finance department as an auditor. After a few years at the Highway Department, Bill began a long career with Tracor (BAE Systems) in the defense contract industry. Bill traveled extensively for work and was proud to be a four-million-mile traveler on not only American Airlines, but Delta Airlines as well. Over the course of his career, he traveled to 46 countries, with Thailand and Greece being his favorites. Upon retiring, Bill opened Financial Integrated Solutions as a financial advisor. In 2022, he turned the company over to his business partner. From the time Josh and TJ were little, Bill loved watching them play baseball and football. Once the boys were in high school, if Bill was traveling, he would call and talk to other dads to get updates and play-by-play accounts of the games. He also loved watching TJ play lacrosse, where he learned there are times you don’t yell at the refs! When his travel slowed down, he rarely missed one of Josh’s college baseball games and never missed a Stony Point High School football game. He loved passing the helmet at Tiger football games and initiated the yell, “And that’s another Stony Point Touchdown!” Even though he didn’t have a daughter, he was an avid supporter of Stony Point girls soccer. The team awarded him Fan of the Year in 2006, an honor he treasured. Bill was active in the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis for many years. He served as president of Kiwanis from 2013–2014 and was named Kiwanian of the Year for 2013–2014. He was also nominated for the Round Rock Chamber’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. Additionally, he was an active member of the Round Rock Rotary Chapter and enjoyed meeting and scheduling various speakers for their meetings. Bill was very much like his daddy and loved talking to anyone who would listen. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Bill was known for his dry, quick wit and for the stories he would tell over and over again. When seeing someone Bill knew — or didn’t know — he’d say, “It’s nice of you to see me,” instead of, “It’s nice to see you.” He was also known for his generous and kind heart. Bill and Kristi were members of Cityview Bible Church in Round Rock, Texas. The family would like to thank Dr. Bravo and his team at MD Anderson for the wonderful care Bill received; Dr. Vyas and his staff; the caring oncology nurses at Baylor Scott & White in Round Rock; Bill’s hospice nurse, Diana, whom Bill fondly called “Princess Diana”; and his aide Michelle, who was so gentle with him.
